Me, and My Cameras
“In photography, there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.”- Alfred Stieglitz

I fell in love with photography as a teenager, the ability to create something tangible from the light.
For my personal work I mostly use film, and also wet plate collodion on glass.
Each photograph is then hand-printed by myself in a traditional darkroom, all to archival standards.

While I carry my digital (Olympus) camera everywhere with me, I can also be spotted having fun with any one of my many old film cameras. Each of them has their own personality and create a different look.
The love of cameras started early for me, I love the engineering and the huge variety of designs, for what is basically a box with a hole in!
I am also lucky enough to volunteer as the Press Officer at my local RNLI lifeboat station, photographing the lifeboats and crew while on exercise and call outs.
